"A Dancer's Christmas"

A holiday treat in Wood County!

wisconsinrapidstribune.com Academie de la Danse will present "A Dancer's Christmas" at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Performing Arts Center of Wisconsin Rapids.

The performance will include Act 2 of "The Nutcracker," a Rockettes-style number and other holiday dances.

Modern Woodmen join Make a Difference Day effort

Each year on the fourth Saturday in October, volunteers from coast to coast pull out their can-do spirits and vow to improve their communities on Make A Difference Day, a national day of service. On Oct. 24, local Modern Woodmen of America members joined this nationwide effort. Members of the Wisconsin Rapids Modern Woodmen Camp 8319 made a difference by collecting and donating winter clothing to The Family Center. Full Story at Wis Rapids Tribune
