The Central Wisconsin State Fair

A great way to spend this upcoming holiday weekend would be to head over to the Central Wisconsin State Fair in Marshfield.

Along with the carnival rides, animal judging and great food, this August 31st to September 5th you can enjoy BMX stunt riders, a magic show, a Championship Horse Pull, a whopping weed contest, great musical groups...and much more.

Never Forgotten Honor Flight

The Never Forgotten Honor Flight, a Wausau-based organization that flies World War II veterans in our area to Washington to visit "their" memorial, is having a Bike for Honor Flight Saturday August 27th.

You can choose to ride 100 or 50 miles, or join in the fun ride. Rides begin at 8AM in Veterans Park in Wisconsin Rapids and the day ends there with a presentation at 5PM.
