Youth Outdoor Day

Is your kid an outdoors sportsman?  Saturday April 27th is Youth Outdoor Education Day at the Les and Melody Bergdahl Property, 11192 Bluff Drive in Marshfield.

From 9AM to 3PM this FREE event offers hunter safety, sporting clays, archery, rifle range, BB gun shooting, fly fishing, dog training demos, laser shoot and much more. Held rain or shine and each kid will get a free lunch too. No registration required.

Prairie Chicken Festival

April 12th to 14th is the Prairie Chicken Festival all around the Wisconsin Rapids area, part of the 2013 Celebrations of Grasslands.

There will be bird viewing blinds all three days - reservation are required. Breakfast will be served at the Kiwanis Clubhouse in Kellner each morning at 7AM. Visit the Hotel Mead on Friday for the Grassland Gala, with vendors and exhibitors, crafts, children's activities, music, silent auction and more. And Saturday don't miss the Boomin' Brewery Bash at Central Waters Brewing Company in Amherst.
