Jump in the Lake!

Ok, maybe it's a little too cold for a swim. But this Saturday many brave souls will be jumping in the water to raise money for Special Olympics Wisconsin.

February 5th is the Wisconsin Rapids Polar Plunge, sponsored by the Grand Rapids Lions Club. And this year on February 4th there will be a Student Polar Plunge - with local schools competing for the most pledges to win prizes.

If a cold dip in the water isn't for you, stop by on Saturday to cheer the plungers on, and enjoy some great music and good food. You can even take part in a Hot Wing eating contest sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings. There is a Post Plunge Party from 4PM to 8PM at Kim's Barrell Inn in Stevens Point.

Shuttle buses will be running to the event from Buffalo Wild Wings in Stevens Point starting at 9:30AM

For all the details, times and directions visit the Special Olymipics Wisconsin website Wisconsin Rapids Polar Plunge
