Special Halloween Events

It's nearly time for the spooks and spirits to come out and play - and here are some fun events around the area to celebrate Halloween.

On Wednesday October 30th the Marshfield Library is hosting History Rising From the Grave at 7PM.  Learn the histories of Marshfield's Cemeteries.

And on Halloween night you can trick or treat without the street in Marshfield or Wisconsin Rapids.  Visit the Marshfield Mall between 5PM-7PM for Malloween with Costume Fashion Show or St Paul's Lutheran Church parking lot for Trunk-R-Treat from 4:30PM-6:30PM with bounce house, activities and more.

Fun Halloween Events in Marshfield

These Halloween events on Saturday October 13th won't be scary, but they sure will be fun!

In the morning from 10AM to 2PM take the kids trick-or-treating at the Wildwood Zoo. Your family will enjoy a tour of the zoo while collecting treats while learning about animal diets. Cost is $5 per family.  See the event flyer here Trick-or-Treating at the Zoo

Saturday evening get dressed up in your Halloween best and head to the the 8th Annual Masquerade for the Chestnut Avenue Center for the Arts.  Dance to the music of The Pointless Brothers and try to win a prize for the best costumes. There will be a cash bar. Trick or Treat at the Wildwood Zoo

Bring your kids, ages toddler to 12, dressed in their Halloween best to the Wildwood Zoo in Marshfield October 15th for Trick-or-Treating In The Zoo!

Begin at the Ludwig Building for a guided tour through the zoo visiting different animal exhibits while picking up treats, goodies and learning about the animals' diets.  There will be hayrides, a petting zoo and much more from 10AM to 3PM Saturday.  $5 donation - some activities may have additional fees.  Concessions will also be available.

Treats for the Little Ones

Looking for a safe Halloween event for toddlers?
Witter Field is hosting "the Great Pumpkin Hunt" for children ages 2 to 6 Wednesday October 27th. Registration will be on the tennis courts at 6:50PM and bring a flashlight, the treat search begins at 7:10PM. Will be held rain or shine, and is Police Supervised.

'Haunting in the Wood'

Looking for something to do this Halloween Weekend?

Join students and community members for "Haunting in the Wood" on Oct. 30 and 31, in the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County Arboretum (weather permitting) and the Black Box Theatre in the lower level of the Helen Connor Laird Fine Arts Building on campus, 2000 W. Fifth St.
"Haunting in the Wood" is the first of four productions in the UW-M/WC Black Box Theatre Workshop Series. The production features storytellers who will relay a selection of macabre tales and spooky stories to delight any age. There are two performances: a 6:30 p.m. family show and an 8:30 p.m. adult show.
